DSTV viewer

DSTV viewer is a very practical tool to understand DSTV files. DSTV files are most probably the most traditional way of communicating manufacturing information between the detailing world of CAD and the workshop. CAD files imports could be very tricky if the DSTV (extension file *.nc) file is not complete or, even worst, wrong. DSTV is a standard but if there is a communication issue between the world of CAD and the world of CNC machines the final result will be seen on the finished part. This tool gives the possibility to the fabricator to understand how a DSTV file is created and composed showing all the nomenclature fields such as contract, drawings, assembly marks, drawing numbers but more importantly all the point co-ordinates that define a profile. If there is any error on the file this will be highlighted graphically and, even better, on the exact line of incongruence. It provides a checking tool to help the fabricator to communicate with the CAD supplier and the machinery manufacturer to clear out DSTV bugs. When this tool is used with Winsteel it provides the functionality of directly correcting the DSTV file in order not to stop production files to be released.

It also represents a 2D file like DSTV is in 3D enhancing comprehension of the detailed part.
